Hanna has been with us for four years. She sleeps with me, (Kathy) on the left side of my chest and shoulder and where ever I go, she follows. Of all the cat breeds, Abyssinian cats have a high intelligence and a loving nature. She has full access to our home along with our Sire, Sir Winston's Mystical Diamond. She is a retriever just like "Winston." A torn peice of newspaper wadded up in a ball is her favorite. She will come to that "tearing paper sound," ready to run to catch the paper ball and bring it back time and time again. She also comes to her name, just like a dog or a well disciplined child.
Abyssinian's are one of the oldest cat breeds. Their origins date back over 2,600 years. Documentation notes as far back as 1,600 years ago, that they were entombed with their masters in Egypt. Though the exact origins are quite mystical, their bloodlines are protected today by responsible breeders. Be sure that you know your breeder, and feel that you can ask any questions you may have. Also, know that your breeder will ask you many questions too to ensure the best placement of their kittens. |
